I look dark! I'm boring looking. I also cut my own hair and now it's crooked. My husband...awww I can't tell you about that in public but lets just say that I don't feel very beautiful around him. So sad. Nevertheless I remind myself, "Hey God looks at your heart, who cares about this other stuff..." It is good to look nice and beautiful because you are a royal priesthood and you make God look good but when we are so consumed then it becomes a problem. We must yield it to God. He will work in us. I know. I am dealing with this so much! Let's pray for one another! I know you are very beautiful anyway. They are only lies from the enemy. Believe God's truth. Man looks outward, God looks inward. I often wish to look like someone else but I realize that I would rather have a heart after God's heart then to be what the world wants me to be or the world's standard say I should be. Magazines, TV, walking men and women convince us we should look like "this" or "that" but what pleases God? That's more important. In the end, there will be nobody else to answer for us. We will be face to face with God and no one will be beside us. Know Him. You want Him to say "Well done my good and faithful servant." He's the one we aim to please! Kudos! Be blessed Laura! Sometimes I think we will be struggling as long as we live to overcome our weaknesses. Nevertheless, ask God for a new vision of who you are in Him. Ask Him to keep you spiritually minded not earthly or fleshly minded. The more we soak ourselves in Him, the less we focus on ourselves and this world. I pray with you in agreement for these lies of the enemy to be GONE. Be set free! I pray the blood of Jesus washed over you to cleanse you of all impurity. Satan, unclean spirits and his demonic lies I cast you out of Laura in Jesus' Name! Don't listen to the liar! His standards don't define us. I pray for deliverance from self condemnation and low self-esteem. All must bow down at the name of Jesus! Be at peace and rejoice that your Heavenly Father rejoices over YOU TODAY! Amen! But, if you insist on going your own way, you will have to pay the piper; you will suffer the unpleasant consequences of your choices and actions. Long time no see. I really enjoyed that article. I have been thinking a lot of my singleness. I did enjoy it while I had it. Now there are many challenges on the horizon. Most of them only arose after I got married. I guess God is refining me. There have been many circumstances that seem unfair and things could be better but nonetheless God continues to show me that I must walk in His Spirit and peace (no matter the circumstance). If I have any advice for you, I guess it would be to just enjoy the gift that God has given you. We have our expectations that marriage is going to be so good but it isn't. We live in a fallen world and sometimes things are not what they should be. Know who you marry, build a friendship that is strong enough to be your foundation and truly seek God's will for your life. Marriage will not be perfect, it might even be difficult, so please enjoy your freedom and peace now while you have it. Need prayer? Email me and I will pray for you. God bless you Laura. Hey.
